Supporting Our Local Community
At EthOss, we believe that the festive season is about more than celebrations - it’s about coming together to support those who need it most. In the last month, we’ve been proud to contribute to three incredible local initiatives that make a real difference in people’s lives by giving back this Christmas.
Skipton Step Into Action – Christmas Elves Campaign
Now in its 6th year, this wonderful campaign ensures that children in Skipton and South Craven, whose families are struggling to afford Christmas, still experience the joy of the season.
We donated gifts to help bring joy and smiles to local children - because every child deserves to feel the magic of Christmas.
“For the past 3 years your team [Step into Action] has saved us from having nothing to give our children at Christmas. So, from the bottom of mine and my wife's heart thank you as it really was the only thing they got this year... you have come to the rescue so I hope that this can keep going and keep helping families like mine. Your charity saved my children's Christmas.”[i]
- A thankful parent.
Supporting Skipton Foodbank
Food insecurity is a reality for many families, and Skipton Foodbank works tirelessly to provide essential supplies to those in need.
We’re proud to have donated essentials and festive items, helping support their mission to ensure no one in our community goes hungry this winter.

Spreading Cheer at Airedale Hospital
We also extended our support to patients and colleagues at our local hospital, Airedale Hospital.
“1.3 million older people will feel lonely this Christmas”[ii]
Hospitals can feel especially lonely during the holidays, so the team spent the day going across the wards, both adult and children, donating gifts and speaking to the patients to brighten their day. We had a lot of fun and some amazing conversations. We hope these small gestures bring comfort and joy to those spending Christmas in care.

Why We Do It
Community is at the heart of everything we do. These initiatives remind us that even small acts of kindness can have a big impact. We’re proud to play our part and encourage others to support local charities and campaigns this festive season.
From all of us at EthOss - thank you to the amazing volunteers and organisations making this possible.
