Yorkshire-based bone regeneration innovator, Ethoss Regeneration Ltd, appoints scientific manager for the Middle East to support its ambitious growth plans for the region.

Dr Anthony Rizk, based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, is tasked with strengthening relationships with EthOss clients in the region. He will be working with distributors to provide training, organise educational events and lectures, and offering technical support for customers.

His role also includes representing EthOss in local and global events, as the company expands its reach internationally.

Anthony, who still practices dentistry alongside this role, started his dental career at Smile Factory Dental Clinics in Lebanon more than a decade ago before also offering scientific and clinical support to dental surgery distributors, said: “I’m thrilled to be working with EthOss. I have used the company’s products throughout my career and have always been passionate about their business. I truly believe they have the only product that can do what it does, creating life-changing results for patients.

“I admire how EthOss is centred around science, education and developing the skills of dental practitioners, and I’m really looking forward to working closely with our distributors to grow relationships and help more dentists across the Middle East to see first-hand the capabilities and innovation of EthOss.”

EthOss’s flagship product EthOss® is a synthetic material that encourages new bone growth during dental implant procedures. Its arrival in the dental implant market, in 2015, signalled a change for the sector. It introduced a more ethical product, free of any animal content and, in turn, addressed many of the shortfalls of existing products.

The product’s success has allowed EthOss to enjoy rapid international growth, securing export partners around the globe. Export now accounts for more than 60 per cent of the business, with export sales worth over £2.4m in 2023.

Peter Wheeler, managing director at Ethoss Regeneration, said: “We’re really excited to have Anthony on board, joining us as our newly appointed scientific manager for the Middle East region.

“As a business, we’ve enjoyed rapid expansion around the globe, and we have a strong presence in the Middle East already, with distributors appointed in Saudi Arabia, the UAE, Lebanon, Jordan, Kuwait, Iraq, Yemen and Qatar.

“Anthony’s role cements our commitment to the region, further boosting our presence there and allowing us to forge stronger connections with distribution partners, providing one to one support by having a representative on the ground.”
