In his last blog of the year, Dr Peter Fairbairn looks back at 2019 and the key successes the year held for EthOss.
What a year 2019 has been for EthOss Regeneration. From showcasing our product around the world, to winning numerous awards in recognition of our hard work and innovation – it’s certainly been a year to remember.
We’ve seen record breaking results for the company, increasing turnover by almost 60 percent, and we’ve expanded our global reach – securing our 40th export market worldwide in June, appointing a dedicated distributor in Estonia.
Along with distribution deals in Spain, Israel and Colombia – to name just a few – export sales have increased to more than £1.1m in 2019 – a 148% increase on 2018, cementing our position as a leading innovator on the global dental implantology stage.
Of course, none of this would be possible without the continued support of the clinical community.
We have a loyal customer base who have been very supportive of our product, helping us to build a strong foothold in both our established and emerging markets across the globe.
This year, it’s been great to travel far and wide to meet so many of customers, both new and existing, in locations including Nigeria, Lisbon, Lithuania, Morocco, Moscow, Athens, Hungary and Dubai.
Just recently we’ve returned from a visit to the Philippines, Thailand and Hong Kong, where we presented to dental practitioners and implantologists from across South East Asia, forging new relationships and demonstrating the benefits of EthOss first-hand to new and existing customers further afield.
It’s great to chat to people around the world about what we do and how we do it, gathering important feedback as we go and encouraging our customers to engage with us whenever possible, through pioneering initiatives such as our EthOss Case Studies Facebook page and the EthOss Academy, which offers workshops and webinars throughout the year.
A strong reputation
This year has seen our reputation as an organisation grow even stronger, with numerous award wins and shortlistings under our belt, as well as a new and assertive rebrand and website unveiled.
In the last month alone we’ve been named Young Business of the Year at the Yorkshire Post Business Excellence Awards and taken home two accolades at the SME Business Awards in London, too – Silver in the Best Enterprising Category and the Gold award for Business of the Year.
To be recognised at such events proves testimony to the dedication and innovation of our team and our products here at EthOss, and reinforces our belief that as a small company, we’re making a real impact within the dental implantology sector.
Our new brand and website – unveiled in October this year – further reinforces this belief and cements our commitment to continuing to grow in the future.
Bringing together bolder imagery and clear messaging, our new-look reflects our strong position in the market and our reputation for doing things differently.
We’re very proud of what we’ve created and all we’ve achieved in 2019 and, as 2020 begins to dawn, we’re excited to embark on the next phase of our journey, innovating further and raising the bar even higher for the dental implantology market worldwide.
