Singapore’s Dental Event of the Year is Huge Success

EthOss travelled to Singapore last week to attend IDEM – the largest dental conference in South East Asia – alongside our local distributor ADM Asia Pacific.  The first “full” live version of IDEM since the pandemic, the 2022 event was well attended with over 6,500 attendees from a record number 67 countries, exceeding the expected numbers by 30%.

The week began with a workshop by Dr Peter Fairbairn, Clinical Director for EthOss, for the Prosthodontic Society, Singapore at the prestigious NUSS Graduate Club Dr Fairbairn discussed bone regeneration with a focus on the scientific and clinical reviews of new synthetic materials and surgical protocols.

The stand where EthOss and partners exhibited attracted a footfall of visitors and was met with positive discussions around the revolutionary bone graft material, making it apparent that EthOss is setting the new standard in South East Asia.

Peter Wheeler said:

“It was great to share the work we’ve been continuing here at EthOss with such a large crowd, and to help more clinicians and industry leaders get to grips with new and emerging technologies around bone grafting.”

The final day of the event saw Dr Fairbairn present in IDEM’s conference room to a large audience. The lecture examined ‘Utilising next generation synthetic biomaterials to upregulate host healing, accelerate results and improve patient satisfaction.’

Dr Fairbairn said:
“We’re always honoured when visiting this part of the world to be met with such a an engaged audience.  We saw a large number of existing EthOss users from across the region, but it was additionally rewarding to see so many new clinicians eager to learn about how modern synthetics can help in their practices

“IDEM has certainly exceeded itself this year with the quality of speakers and exhibitors from all over the world. I was extremely excited to be included in that list and to share my knowledge and results of better patient outcomes to audience on this scale. We look forward to attending the next one in 2024.”
