Shortlisting for Sustainability and Outstanding Achievement Awards Demonstrates EthOss’ Continued Commitment

EthOss are thrilled to announce that the company has been shortlisted for both the Sustainability and Outstanding Achievement Awards at the prestigious Medilink North of England Healthcare Business Awards.

This is a great recognition of the company’s commitment to sustainability and reducing environmental impact.

EthOss has worked hard to reduce its carbon footprint and to create a more sustainable business model. A number of initiatives have been implemented including using renewable energy sources, reducing water consumption and recycling materials. There’s been significant investment in energy-efficient technologies such as a heat pump, a smart heating control system, LED lighting and motion sensor lighting to reduce energy consumption, whilst the company is also awaiting installation of solar panels.

The company’s commitment has also introduced a comprehensive waste management system and recycling procedures, leading to a significant increase in reusing packaging materials.

The company is in the final stages of the environmental and sustainable certification ISO:14001 with full certification expected in February 2023.  This process has helped shape the past 12 month’s sustainability actions and guided the business’ focus, direction and purpose.

EthOss’ Director of Sustainability, Debbie Harrison commented:

“We’re very proud of our ongoing commitment to sustainability and are delighted to be recognised for these efforts. We hope these awards will encourage other businesses to take similar steps to reduce their environmental impact.”

Alongside the Sustainability Award, EthOss have also been shortlisted for the Outstanding Achievement Award at the ceremony, in recognition of the success of the company’s training and education platform.  Peter Wheeler, Managing Director of EthOss commented:

“EthOss has seen over 14,000 engagements with the company’s training over the last 12 months, a significant increase from previous years and a sign of the growing global interest in synthetic graft materials.  We are extremely honoured to be shortlisted for 2 of the UK’s leading healthcare business awards and can’t wait for the ceremony in March”.

The awards will take place at The Lowry Hotel, Manchester on Thursday 23rd March 2023.
