EthOss Regeneration Ltd has held its first face-to-face event since March where 30 dentists were able to step away from the screens and hear the latest directly from the experts.
The event, on 13 December in Twickenham, London, was hosted in a Covid-secure way, with attendee numbers limited and strict social distancing measures in place.
Dr Peter Fairbairn, EthOss’s co-founder, led the session, joined by Wasim Fazel who has been involved in implantology for more than 13 years and has his own practice in Ilford.
Dr Fairbairn, said: “It was wonderful to be able to actually meet with practitioners face-to-face after what has been a very challenging year for so many.
“We believe wholeheartedly that education plays a vital role in the continual development of our industry and in raising awareness of the benefits EthOss has to bring.
“By bringing practitioners together – in a Covid safe way of course – we were able to spark much-needed debate and conversation about implantology and take questions from our audience members, too.
“We’ve all managed to do this via technology for months, so there was something a sense of excitement about being together in person.”
During 2020, EthOss has adapted to the worldwide travel restrictions by enhancing its online learning resources, bringing practitioners together for interactive webinars and training sessions as part of the renowned EthOss Academy.
Dr Fairbairn, added: “Online learning has been vital in allowing us to continue with our work during 2020, maintaining connections with practitioners around the globe and, of course, it will continue to play a key role in the future as the way people live and do business continues to evolve.
“Our successful event gives us real hope that we can get back out and meet our peers in the real world even more in 2021.”
