EthOss® Regeneration Ltd has been shortlisted for two prestigious awards thanks to an outstanding 12 months.

On Thursday 1 March, EthOss® will take compete for the Medical, Life Sciences & Healthcare category at the Made in Yorkshire Awards 2018.

The prestigious event celebrates world-class companies based in Yorkshire and the Humber and the products they are making and selling across the world.

Taking place at the Royal Armouries in Leeds, the 6th annual Made in Yorkshire Awards is part of the wider Made in the UK series, with winners from each regional category going on to compete against those from other regions across Britain.

On Wednesday 7 March, EthOss® is shortlisted for the Medilink Northern Powerhouse Awards in the Export Achievement category.

In association with Insider magazine, the prestigious awards ceremony, taking place at the Lowry Hotel, Manchester, will see industry, academia and the NHS come together to celebrate the achievements of health sector organisations across the North of England

The company has been shortlisted for the two awards following its success with its primary product EthOss®, an innovative synthetic bone graft solution for dental implants.

The unique composition of EthOss®, which has a built-in membrane, removing the need for a separate collagen membrane, provides a highly stable graft and typically produces 50% new bone after 12 weeks.

EthOss® is a bi-phasic synthetic material made from a mixture of beta tri calcium phosphate and calcium sulfate and is completely free from animal or human content.

The built-in membrane function prevents soft tissue ingress and dramatically speeds up healing times, by allowing the healing effect of the periosteum and blood supply direct contact with the site. This means surgical procedures can be completed much more quickly and reliably, benefitting both patient and dentist.

Dr Paul Harrison, Managing Director of EthOss® Regeneration Ltd, said: “2017 was a phenomenal year for the company in terms of sales, international market penetration and business development, and we are thrilled that this has been recognised by industry peers.

“Our success to-date has been built on creating a product which recognises the needs of both dentist and patient. This has been borne out by the feedback we continue to receive from top international dentists and of course the resulting sales.

“We now look forward to these two prestigious awards events and the opportunity to celebrate our achievements.”
