EthOss® Regeneration Ltd has been shortlisted for the Exporter of the Year category at the national British Small Business Awards 2018.
The prestigious event is the leading celebration of the UK’s small business sector, recognising the nation’s best sole traders, micro businesses and small companies – as well as the services providers and advisers that support them.
The winners will be announced in front of hundreds of the UK’s leading business people at a special event on Wednesday 31 October at the Royal Lancaster London.
Over the last 12 months, EthOss® has enjoyed exceptional international sales growth and market penetration, making it one of the fastest growing dental businesses in Europe.
The company has been shortlisted for its export success with its primary product EthOss®, an innovative synthetic bone graft solution for dental implants.
The unique composition of EthOss®, which has a built-in membrane, removing the need for a separate collagen membrane, provides a highly stable graft and typically produces 50% new bone after 12 weeks.
EthOss® is a bi-phasic synthetic material made from a mixture of beta tri calcium phosphate and calcium sulphate and is completely free from animal or human content. The built-in membrane function prevents soft tissue ingress and dramatically speeds up healing times, by allowing the healing effect of the periosteum and blood supply direct contact with the site. This means surgical procedures can be completed much more quickly and reliably, benefitting both patient and dentist.
Dr Paul Harrison, Managing Director of Ethoss® Regeneration Ltd, said: “We are thrilled to be shortlisted for this award and to share the stage with colleagues who are bringing world-class British products and services to the global market.
“We have put a premium on creating a high quality product that is unique, evidence-based and end-user informed. This holistic approach has absolutely reaped rewards, based on the clinical and anecdotal feedback we continue to receive from top international dentists and patients – and of course in the sales of EthOss® itself.
“The company has enjoyed exceptional domestic growth since we released EthOss® to market – and that has now been replicated overseas with distributors signed up across Europe, Africa, the US, South America, and East Asia. And 2018/19 looks even more promising.
“It is particularly pleasing to be recognised by peers in such an important and vibrant business community. Small businesses bring a huge amount of innovation, energy and excellence to the commercial sector and should rightly be recognised for the role they play in the success of the British economy.”
