British company EthOss® Regeneration Ltd is set to bring its innovative synthetic bone graft technology for dental implantology to the world’s biggest periodontology event.
The multi award-winning company’s primary product, EthOss®, will be exhibited at EuroPerio, the triennial meeting of the world’s leading figures from periodontology and implant dentistry.
EuroPerio is run by The European Federation of Periodontology (EFP) – the umbrella organisation of 30 national scientific societies devoted to promoting research, education and awareness of periodontal science and practice.
The 2018 show, the ninth since it was first established, will be held in Amsterdam from 20-23 June at the RAI Amsterdam. The scientific programme will feature more than 120 speakers from across the world and, for the first time at EuroPerio, a live surgery will take place.
The most recent of these triennial meetings, EuroPerio8, took place in London in June 2015 and brought together almost 10,000 people.
EthOss® has proved hugely popular with dentists across the globe due to a number of benefits to both end-user and patient.
The unique composition of EthOss®, which has a built-in cell-occlusive barrier, removing the need for a separate collagen membrane, provides a highly stable graft and typically produces 50 per cent new bone after 12 weeks.
EthOss® is a bi-phasic synthetic material made from a mixture of beta tri calcium phosphate and calcium sulfate and is completely free from animal or human content.
The built-in membrane function prevents soft tissue ingress and helps to dramatically speed up healing times, by allowing the periosteum (and the related blood supply) direct contact with the graft site. This means surgical procedures can be completed much more quickly and reliably, benefitting both patient and dentist.
EthOss® will be presented at the three-day exhibition by the company’s Clinical Director, internationally renowned dentist Dr Peter Fairbairn, and Managing Director, Dr Paul Harrison.
Dr Fairbairn said: “EthOss® has proved hugely popular across Europe since we brought it to market two years ago.
“There has been a clear appetite from dentists – and their patients in fact – for a grafting material which is synthetic, fully absorbed, reliable and turns over to host bone quickly. EthOss®, which has been developed in collaboration and response to feedback from the end-users and patients, ticks all of these boxes.
“We are now looking forward to meeting leading practitioners from the field of periodontology and implant dentistry to discuss the benefits of EthOss® and demonstrate how it can improve their daily practice.”
EuroPerio9 will take place between the 20-23 June 2018 at the RAI Amsterdam. EthOss® Regeneration Ltd will be located at Stand 11.25D.
