Ethoss® Regeneration Ltd has further expanded its international market following a successful show at the world’s largest dental trade fair.
Company executives were exhibiting ethoss®, an innovative synthetic bone graft solution for dental implants, at the International Dental Show (IDS) in Cologne. IDS 2017 attracted more than 150,000 visitors from across the globe over the five days, including dentists, distributors, investors and patients.
The unique composition of ethoss®, which has a built-in membrane, removing the need for a separate collagen membrane, provides a highly stable graft and typically produces 50% new bone after 12 weeks.
ethoss® is a bi-phasic synthetic material made from a mixture of beta tri calcium phosphate and calcium sulfate and is completely free from animal or human content. The built-in membrane function prevents soft tissue ingress and dramatically speeds up healing times, by allowing the healing effect of the periosteum and blood supply direct contact with the site. This means surgical procedures can be completed much more quickly and reliably, benefitting both patient and dentist.
During the show, the company signed exclusive contracts with German and Greek distributors for ethoss®, continuing the company’s expansion into major European markets.
Dr Peter Fairbairn, Clinical Director of Ethoss® Regeneration Ltd, said: “We are delighted with how ethoss® was received at this year’s International Dental Show.
“The feedback from dentists using ethoss® continues to be universally positive and that was mirrored by the comments at this year’s show. One high-profile dentist who came to our stand that ethoss® is the most important breakthrough in grafting since he began practising.
“The signing up of distributors to cover Germany and Greece demonstrates our commitment to making ethoss the go-to solution for dental bone grafts for dentists and patients across the world. We now look forward to further extending our international network in the coming months.”
